Trekking in the highest mountain of the world is a lifetime dream to all the trekkers and mountaineers of the world. Everest Expedition takes the trekkers to the famous trail of Mt. Everest and gives an opportunity to follow the trail leaded by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary. Mt. Everest, the highest mountain of the world standing at a height of 8848m above the sea level is located in the heart of Khumbu region and is a major touristic destination of the world.
Trekking in the Everest will be a challenging and difficult task as most of the are more steep, rocky and covered with ice. One should need a good physical stamina and previous trekking experience to complete this expedition. We will be trekking via many Sherpa and Magar villages of Khumbu region which will give you an opportunity to explore the unique lifestyle and cultures of people living in this region since many years.
The first-person to climb on the summit of this challenging mountain are Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary who conquered this mountain in May 29, 1953. The main objective of Utmost Adventure is to provide the ultimate satisfaction to the customers with exploring the hidden treasures of Himalayan ranges. Everest Expedition offers the visitors with the spectacular panoramic view of mountain ranges including some of the highest mountains of the world such as Annapurna, Lhotse, Pumori, Amadblam, Makalu, Manaslu and a closer view of the highest mountain of the world, Mt. Everest. You will also get an opportunity to explore the wide variety of flora and fauna, unique landscaped and vegetation along with the lifestyle and culture of Sherpa people. Sagarmatha National Park, Gokyo Lake, Gokyo Ri, sightseeing of Khumbu valley, Kalapatthar, Everest base camp are some of the major attraction of this trek.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m):
Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative in the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur:
After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body form head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Expedition preparation day (1400m)
Today there will be a group meeting and briefing about the expedition. The expedition leader of Utmost Adventure will check all your expedition gear and check whether you are physically fit for the trek or not. You will be taught about your responsibility in the trek and you can clear your confusion if you have any. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Mountain flight to Lukla (2800m) and Trek to Phakding (2600m):
You will take an early morning flight to Lukla. This 25minute short mountain flight gives you a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of Himalayan ranges from the aircraft. Once you reach Lukla you will take a short break and then trek to Phakding which takes about 3 hours. Overnight at tea house lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Namche Bazar (3440m):
Today is going to be an exciting day of our trip as we will trek along the bank of Dudh Koshi river. We will trek to the gateway of Everest, Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar also known as the “Thamel of Everest” is a luxurious valley in the Khumbu region which has a numerous number of hotels, restaurants, lodges, spas, Atm’s and other many luxurious things. We will then trek to Manjo and then check for a permit and stay overnight at a tea house lodge.
Day 06: Acclimatization in Namche Bazar:
Today is our acclimatization day and we will do the sightseeing of different nearby authentic villages of Thame and Khumjung. Exploring these villages and trails will give you an opportunity to view some of the beautiful snowcapped Himalayan peaks including Mt. Thamaserku (6608 m), Ama-Dablam (6856 m), Mt. Lhotse (8510m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Nuptse (7861m), Island Peak (6189m), Tobuche (6367m) and many other beautiful mountain ranges. Overnight at a tea house lodge.
Day 07: Namche – Dole (4040m):
Leaving Namche Bazar behind we will be walking alongside the views of mountain ranges and pass Sanasa and climb the Mong La (4010m) and trek down to Phortse Tenga. This beautiful walk will take you to some of the dense forests of Pine and Birch trees and then trekking ahead on the same trail will take us to Dole. Overnight at Tea House Lodge.
Day 08: Dole – Machharmo (4420m):
Trekking along the alpine meadow with the views of Yaks grazing at the hills and exploring a wide variety of birds, we will reach Machharmo. Overnight at a Tea House Lodge.
Day 09: Machharmo – Gokyo (4790m):
Today we will be trekking North to the Dudhkoshi valley passing Fanga. We will then trek ahead and pass many waterfalls to see the beautiful Gokyo lakes which is surrounded by giant mountains. Overnight at Gokyo valley in a Tea House Lodge.
Day 10: Explore around Gokyo (4790m):
Today is the day when we will be hiking to reach Gokyo Ri. This place gives a closer and clear view of Mt. Everest and Makalu. After sightseeing of these mountain ranges, we will trek back to Gokyo and explore the beautiful Nagjumba Glacier. Overnight at Tea House Lodge.
Day 11: Gokyo to Thangnak (4700m):
Leaving Gokyo valley behind and walking for only 2 hours will take us to Thangnak where we get an opportunity to explore the nearby places of Thangnak. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 12: Thangnak – Chola Pass (5368m) to Zonglha (4700m):
Today’s trek is going to be a bit long and tiring trek as we will be trekking about 8 hours to reach Zonglha. We will start with packed lunch and start our trek to reach the beautiful Chola Pass. We will cross this famous pass which is situated at a height of 5368m. We will then walk down to reach Zonglha. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 13: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m):
We will be walking about 4hrs on today’s trek. It is an easier walk to Lobuche and we will walk along the Khumbu glacier which is located close to Lobuche. We will then visit the Italian Research Camp and view many mountains including Nuptse, Pumori (7165m), Khumbu Ice Fall etc. Overnight at tea house lodge.
Day 14: Acclimatization day at Lobuche (4910m):
Today will be our acclimatization day and we will get ready for the Lobuche peak climbing. Overnight at tea house lodge.
Day 15: Lobuche to High Camp (5,400m):
We will trek towards the Lobuche Base Camp from Lobuche on today’s day. The path is quite challenging as the trail is quite steepy and rocky. We enjoy great views of AmaDablam, Pokalde, Thamaserku, Kantega and other mountains. In the afternoon our senior climbing guide will provide training on peak climbing techniques and proper way to use the climbing gears. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 16: High Camp to Lobuche Peak (6119 m) & back to High Camp (5400m):
Today’s day will be a big day of our expedition as we will be climbing to the summit of Lobuche peak. We will have an early morning breakfast and then we will climb the rocky and icy path to reach the summit of this peak. You will be helped by our professional guides who will fix ropes in the trail when and where required. The summit of Lobuche peak offer one of the most panaromic mountain view than any other trekking peak. After enjoying summit views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Cholatse, Thamserku, Kantega and many more we then descend to the high camp. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 17: Lobuche High Camp to Ghorakshep (5190m):
After the breakfast we will walk down to Lobuche and join the famous Everest Base Camp route. We will then walk in the Khumbu valley alongside of Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep. Overnight at Tea house / Lodge.
Day 18: Gorakshep – Kalapathar to Everest Base Camp (5380m):
Today we will be climbing about 5hrs to reach the famous viewpoint Kalapatthar and then trek to Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Tented camp.
Day 19 – Day 63: Climbing Period for South Route to Mt. Everest (8848m)
Mount Everest South Side Expedition Climbing Period:
After few days of acclimatization, we will continue our challenging and technical climb to reach the final destination of our trek. We will start through the Icefall to the Camp1 early at the morning and then return to our comfortable Base camp. Our professional guides will help the member to become familiar with Icefall and how to react when there will be Ice falls. You will get enough time to acclimatize on the challenging condition, environment and altitude and then we will head to Camp3 and Camp4. After reaching the Camp 4 which is the final destination of our trek, we will trek back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
Everest Base Camp: 17700ft. / 5380m
Base Camp is situated at the Khumbu Glacier and due to the active ice melting during monsoon, the base camp moves slightly from its original place every year. Our professional Sherpa guides and helpers will help you to manage a comfortable camp side. You will get an opportunity to practice climbing on the ladders at the base camp so that you can easily walk in the ice falls at the mountain. We take plenty of time exploring Khumbu Ice Fall, Kala Pathar, Gorakshep for well acclimatizes before we head to the Camp 1.
Camp 1: 19900ft. / 6065m
Camp 1 is situated at the height of 19900ft. / 6065m on flat area of snow endless snow deep crevasses and mountain walls. Because of the Sun’s reflection from this place we get warm and hitting ambience at this place. In the night we listen the deep murmuring cracking sounds of crevasses beneath our tent, where we have to walk to reach camp 2.
Camp 2: 21300ft. / 6500m
Camp 2 is situated at the height of 21300ft. / 6500m. It is located at the foot of the icy mount Lhotse wall though where we have to go ahead. Some time wind here seems very violent enough to destroy the tents. Hear bad clouds roll-in from the low range of the Himalayan valleys to the bottom of our camp 2. After climbing these palaces we reach camp 3.
Camp 3: 24500ft. / 7470m
Located at the height of 24500ft. / 7470m., adjoining to mount Lhotse wall. After climbing 4000ft by using fixed rope on Lhotse wall prior acclimatization it leads us to camp IV. Also on the way we have to ascend the steep allow bands (lose, down -slopping and rotten limestone). From their crossing short snowfield the route moves ahead up the Geneva Spur to the east before finishing the flats of the south col. (Another wells name meaning Saddle of pass). As you are climbing over 22000ft oxygen should probably be use incase of needed.
Camp 4: 26000ft. / 7920m
Located at height of 26000ft / 7920m. It is the last camp of the Expedition to reach on top of highest mountain on earth; it is only about 500 m to the top. Camp4 to the summit is the final and dangerous climbing because it is weighty snowy and violent winds. The best way to reach on top is via the narrow South-East ridge and it this is the final and dangerous part of the climbing. This place is besieged by ferocious and violent winds. The normal best way to reach to summit is via the narrow South – East Ridge to the summit.
Day 64: Gorakshep to Lobuche (4910m):
After the expedition we will trek down to reach Lobuche. Overnight at tea house lodge.
- Day 65: Lobuche High Camp to Tengboche (3870m):
After the breakfast we walk down Pheriche. After lunch we continue our trek to Tengboche. Tengboche, it is famous for its legendary largest monastery in Khumbu. Overnight at Tea house / Lodge.
- Day 66: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m):
This day consists of walking about 5 hrs starting with sunshine great views of the Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. There is a steep descent towards a bridge over the Dudh Kosi at (3250m), which is deepest valley after Namche and before Base Camp. Then we will be climbing up a zigzagging path through rhododendron bushes. Some superb mountain view towards Tengboche, Overnight at Tea house / Lodge.
- Day 67: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800 m):
We will trek back to Lukla today. We will finish our great journey at about 6 hours from the highest mountain. Overnight at tea house lodge.
Day 69: Fly to Kathmandu (1400m):
Early morning fly back to Kathmandu. You will have a free day for shopping and you can also explore the streets of Kathmandu.
- Day 70: Free day in Kathmandu (1400m)
Free day and celebration after expedition. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 71: Departure:
Transfer to airport for final departure to onward destination.
