    Mardi Himal, located just east of the famous Annapurna Base Camp is one of the adventurous and demanding trekking destinations of our country. This newly opened trek in 2012 is also known as the hidden treasures of Annapurna region as many areas of this region are unexplored.  One can get an awesome opportunity to do the sightseeing of some of the highest mountain of the world such as Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Kanchenjung and other many beautiful mountains including a closer view of Mardi Himal. The major attractions of this trek are the Mardi Himal Base Camp, Siding village, Lwang and the beautiful mountain ranges.

     

    Mardi Himal trek offers the visitors an awesome opportunity to do the sightseeing of snowcapped mountains along with the opportunity to explore the wilderness and a wide variety of flora and fauna of this region. You can explore the ancient cultures and lifestyle of people living in this region. Mardi Himal Trek takes the trekkers to the untouched and unbeaten path which includes ancient villages, dense rhododendron forests, etc. Moreover, this trek is designed for those trekkers who love to trek on the less crowded region with the superb views of mountain ranges.

     

    The trek starts at Kande which is an hour drive from Pokhara. The trail is good, first slowly up and then even steeper to the Australian Camp (2060m) which takes about an hour. Then we should head downwards to Pothana (1950m) and then up again to Deurali (2100m). After that we head to the forest camp through the jungle and then we reach to the low camp. As we start to climb upwards the trees starts to get smaller and after an hour we will see the spectacular view of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna south. Finally, after trekking along with the ridge for 4-5 hours, we reach to our destination, The Mardi Himal Base Camp.

    Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m):

    Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative in the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

    Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur:

    After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body form head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 03: Drive to Kande and then trek to Pitam Deurali (2125m)

    After breakfast, we will drive 30 minutes to Kande and start our trek to Forest Camp at the height of 1810m. The trail is steep until the point when Dhampus and charming simple stroll up to Pothana, where you will remain in a teahouse hold up for the primary night.

    Day 04: Trek to Low Camp (3,150m)- 5 hours trekking.

    The trail proceeds from Forest Camp to Low Camp through the woods anyway as we move up, the vegetation begins to change with more rhododendron and now the trees are secured with greenery, lichen and tree plants. At Low Camp there are two fundamental hotels one with a dining room and open fire. The view from Low Camp is magnificent with Mount Machhapuchhre obvious up the valley.

    Day 05: Trek to High Camp (3,700m)- 4 hours trekking.

    Today we will trek around a hour or so above Low Camp. The trail breaks out above tree line and towards the west, there is a decent view to Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. The trail proceeds with the Mardi Himal, furrowed mostly on grass with some segregated rhododendron shrubs en route. You can see the brilliant Danphe fowl on this segment of the trail. Medium-term at a hotel and the view from the cabin is sublime to Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

    Day 06: Excursion to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m)- back to Low Camp.

    The arrangement for now is to wake ahead of schedule to see the sunrise from the mountains then after an early breakfast, we will stroll up the edge towards Mardi Himal Base Camp. There is an entrenched trail through the grass with several more extreme areas anyway not much challenging. Pay special mind to the Dzokpo (yak/dairy animals crossbreds) touching up here and additionally Danphe bird. In the mid-year the sheep and goats from brought down to towns and are left to graze so you will pass some of herder’s cottages en route. From Low Camp there is a trail that goes down to Siding town and after that returning down to Mardi Himal and afterward to Kokar. Siding is a conventional Nepalese town and still particularly far from the busier present-day traveler treks. You will remain at a homestay in Siding town. It is a great social affair and you can discover more about town life and you will presumably eat daal baht at night with the family in their kitchen.

    Day 08: Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara- 3 hours walking and 2 hours driving.

    On our flight day we will stroll from Siding to the street head at Lumre, in transit from Siding you will pass the towns of Kalimati and Ghalel. Kalimati is for the most part a Brahmin town with Ghalel and Siding blended Brahmin and Gurung. At Lumre you will meet jeep composed by Wilderness Excursion ahead of time to drive you back to Pokhara.
