    Trekking at the heart of Himalayas is the ultimate dream of all the trekkers and mountaineers of the world. Mera peak is the highest trekking peak of our country and one can get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of some of the highest mountain ranges of our country from this peak. Mera peak itself is one of the most demanding and adventurous trekking destination of our country and however combining Amphu Laptsa Pass trek with this incredible trek makes this journey one of the most incredible journey of your life.

     

    You will get an opportunity to cross the famous Amphu Laptsa Pass and explore the wilderness and natural beauty of this region. Mera peak offers the visitors with the spectacular view of snowcapped mountains including some of the highest mountains of the world such as Everest, Lhotse, Chamlang, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Baruntse, Cho-oyu, Kantega, Nuptse and other many beautiful mountain ranges. You will also get an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of people living in this region.

     

    This trek is designed for those trekkers who wish to climb on the summit of Himalayas of our country and want to see a closer panorama of mountain ranges. Exploring a wide variety of flora and fauna is also another major attraction of this trek.

     

    Mera peak with Amphu Laptsa trek starts with a scenic flight to Lukla. We will then trek via the less crowded forests of rhododendron and pass many ancient Sherpa settlements to reach the beautiful Hinku valley. Trekking ahead via different landscapes will lead us to the base camp of Mera Peak. We will the start the difficult and challenging climb to reach the summit of Mera peak. Summit of this peak offers the visitors with the spectacular views of mountain ranges that will make this journey the best journey of your entire life. We will then trek ahead and cross Amphu Laptsa Pass which is the final destination of our trek. We will then trek back to Lukla and then return to Kathmandu to end our beautiful journey.

    Day 01: Kathmandu (1400m):

    Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative in the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

    Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur

    After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body from head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of the Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 03: Flight to Lukla (2800m) and Trek to Chutanga (3050m):

    We will take an early morning flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. This flight offers a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of mountain ranges from the aircraft. We will then take a 25 minutes short flight to reach the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. We will then start our trek and cross some of the beautiful landscapes and trek via the dense forests to reach Chutang. At the time of winter, snow makes us transverse steep terrain. But during favorable climatic condition, the trail is usually straightforward. It takes about 3-4 hours of trek to reah Chutang.

    Day 04: Acclimatization at Chutanga (3050m):

    As we are climbing at higher altitude, we will need to acclimatize and we will acclimatize for 2 memorable nights at Chutang. This will give you sufficient time to explore Zatrwa La.You can spend your leisure time by trekking to a small 4000m peak just below the Zatra Teng Pass. This leisure trek also offers the visitors with the superb views of snowcapped mountains that will surely mesmerize you. After exploring the nearby peaks. We will descend and be back to our camp at Chutang and relax. Overnight at Chutang

    Day 05: Trek to Tuli kharka (4300m):

    We will cross the Kalo Himal Ridge and trek along the beautiful HInku valley. We will then trek through a comfortable path along the Dudh Koshi river and then head towards Karyolung where you can get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of the impressive views of Lumding Himal. Trekking more for half an hour will take us to Tuli Kharka. Overnight at Tuli Kharka.

    Day 06: Trek to Mosum kharka (3700m):

    Today’s trek will be quite exciting as we will be trekking and doing the sightseeing of beautiful Hinku valley. We will descend down of the rocky path and then reach to the beautiful Hinku valley where you will get an awesome opportunity to view the beautiful snowcapped mountains including Mera Peak. We will also trek via the dense rhododendron and pine forests to reach Mosum Kharka and then we will build our camp near Hinku Drangka. Overnight in Mosum Kharka.

    Day 07: Trek to Thangnak (4350m):

    Today we will head westwards to the Hinku Khola and then trek via green meadows where you can see goats, yaks, sheep and horses grazing in these green meadows. Climbing for about 4-6 hours, we will reach the settlements of Tangnag and then we will cross a single-plank bridge at Gondishung.            We will have our lunch at this beautiful place. Trekking ahead for some hours will take us to Thangnak. Overnight in Thangnak.

    Day 08: Trek to Khare (5,000m):

    Today we will be walking about 3 hours to reach Khare. First, we will walk through the lateral moraine of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka. One can get an awesome opportunity to see the magnificent snowcapped view of Charpate Himal. Then the trail climbs through the moraines and to the south of the Hinku Nup and then to the Shar Glaciers. Trekking ahead on the route will take us to Khare. It is pleasure to view beautiful North face of Mera Peak from our campsite at Khare. Overnight at Khare. Overnight in Khare.

    Day 09: Acclimatization day in Khare (5000m):

    After breakfast we will start our pre-climb preparing. Our expert climbing guide will give training on top climbing methods and the best possible methods for utilizing climbing boots. For example, the ice hatchet, climbing boots and saddle, crampons, etc. The preparation will likewise incorporate utilizing ropes to go here and there. In spite of the fact that it isn’t required to have earlier preparing for Mera Peak Climbing, we believe that some preparation experience will expand your certainty and climbing aptitudes to increase your climbing skills.     Day 10: Trek to Mera Base Camp (5416m):

    We will walk   through the steep route and it will take about 3-4 hours to reach the base camp. We will have our lunch once we reach the base camp. We will then do the ice climbing training and our professional guides will train you the techniques to climb on slippery ice. Overnight at tented camp.

    Day 11: Climb to High camp (5850m):

    We will walk about two hours through the rock-strewn area and reach the High camp. The trail can be dangerous as there is a high risk of heavy snowfall. We set up a high camp and from here the sunrise and sunset can be viewed along with the Mt. Everest Makalu, Cho Oyu, and south face of Lotshe, Nuptse, Chamlang and Baruntse are outstanding and seems like they are piercing the skyline. Overnight at tented camp.

    Day 12: Mera High camp to Mera Peak Summit (6,476m] to Kongme Dingma (4800m):

    Today is going to be a big day as we will be climbing to reach the summit of Mera Peak. We will advance towards the summit at the early morning around 2 a: m. Professional guides will help you to put the crampons and rope for the journey to the summit of Mera peak. 6-7 hours of challenging and difficult climb will take us to the summit of this beautiful peak. One can get an opportunity to see the beautiful panorama of Himalayan ranges including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Nuptse (7,855m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m) Ama Dablam (6,812m) Kangtega (6,779m) and other many beautiful peaks. We will then descend down to the high camp and then descend to reach Kongma Dingma. Overnight at Kongma Dingma.

    Day 13: Reserve Day:

    We have allocated an extra day as a spare day in case of problems with the weather or acclimatization. Overnight in Tented Camp.

    Day 14: Kongma Dingma to Seto Pokhara (5035m) via Honku Valley:

    After reaching the summit of Mera Peak, we will walk today through the remote valley of the upper yak pastures. One can enjoy the great panoramic mountain ranges within the route. The majestic views of Everest and Lhotse will surely mesmerize you. Trekking ahead for few more hours will take us to Seto Pokhara. Overnight at Seto Pokhara.

    Day 15: Seto Pokhari to Amphu Lapcha Base Camp through south (5650m):

    We will today trek through the remote parts of Himalayas to reach the Amphu Lapcha base camp. This trail is a less crowded trail and we will rarely meet any trekkers and visitors even in high trekking seasons. We will then take a steep ascend beyond the White Lake and reach Honku valley. You will also get an opportunity to get a closer view of Chamlang Himal with hanging glaciers. Overnight at Amphu Laptsa Base Camp.

    Day 16: Amphu Labcha Base Camp to Chhukung (4,750m): 

    We will cross the famous Amphu Lapcha pass and then walk across the Amphu Lapcha glacier. Our trail also half circles the Imja Tsho lake before walking on the main Island Peak trail. Moving further ahead, we are also in the vicinity of the Ama Dablam Glacier before reaching Chhukung. Overnight in Chhukung.

    Day 17: Chhukung to Tengboche (3867m):

    We begin our descent to Tengboche after breakfast. We reach a sparse settlement of Bibre and cross a bridge over the Imja Khola. Our trail passes through beautiful villages, grasslands and cross several bridges before reaching Tengboche. There is an amazing view point a little further from our trail at Dingboche.  Overnight in Tengboche.

    Day 18: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m):

    Our morning starts with the sightseeing of Thengboche monastery. After breakfast, we will make a steep descent and the trail leads us back to Dud Kosho river. After passing a chorten, we will reach Namche Bazar. You can do the sightseeing of Namche Bazar and stroll in the nearby streets of this beautiful village. Overnight at Namche bazar.

    Day 19 : Namche Bazzar – Lukla: (2800m):

    We will trek back to Lukla today. We will finish our great journey at about 6 hours from the highest mountain. Overnight at tea house lodge

    Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu:

    Early morning fly back to Kathmandu. You will have a free day for shopping and you can also explore the streets of Kathmandu.

    Day 21: Final Departure to home country:

    Transfer to airport for final departure to onward destination.
