    Nirekha peak, located in the Mahalangur range is close to the Nepal-Tibet border and hidden among the massive giants of Everest, Cho-Oyu and Cholatse. The climb to the summit of this peak is relatively easy however one with good physical stamina and trekking experience can easily complete this trek. The peak consists of two summits and it is unclear which one is higher. This newly opened trek offers some of the majestic views of snowcapped mountains that can mesmerize every visitors and trekkers.

     

    Combining Nirekha Peak with one of the demanding and popular treks (The Everest Base Camp trek) makes this journey more adventurous and challenging. Everest Base Camp trek offers an awesome opportunity to explore the hidden beauties of Khumbu region. Although the trail of Everest base camp is a bit busy and crowded but the trail to the summit of Nirekha peak is less crowded and peaceful hence one can observe the natural beauty and Himalayan vistas more peacefully. One of the major attractions of this trek is Kalapatthar which is a great viewpoint of Khumbu region. One can get a closer view of Himalayan ranges including Everest form this viewpoint. Nirekha Peak with Everest Base camp offers the spectacular view of Himalayan ranges including the highest mountain of the world such as Everest (Highest mountain of the world), Lhotse, Pumori, Cho-Oyu, Makalu, Shishgampa, Annapurna, Cholatse and other many beautiful mountain ranges. You will also get an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of people living on the Khumbu region.

     

    Nirekha Peak with Everest Base camp starts with a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We will then trek via Phakding to reach the gateway of Mt. Everest, Namche Bazar. Trekking via Machermo will lead us to the beautiful Gokyo valley. You will be doing the sightseeing of Gokyo Ri and Gokyo lake and then trek to the base camp of Everest. Trekking ahead from Everest Base Camp will take us to Kalapatthar from where we will do the sightseeing of beautiful mountain ranges. Kalapatthar gives you an opportunity to see a closer view of Himalayas and one can feel that they can almost touch those Himalayas. Crossing the famous Chola Pass will take us to the base camp of Nirekha peak. We will then start our challenging climb to reach the summit of Nirekha peak. The summit of this peak rewards the visitors an awesome opportunity to see the magnificent view of Himalayas including the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest. We will then trek back to Namche Bazar and fly back to Kathmandu to end our beautiful journey.

    Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m):

    Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative in the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

    Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur:

    After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body form head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 03: Kathmandu to Phakding (2600m):

    You will take an early morning flight to Lukla. This 25minute short mountain flight gives you a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of Himalayan ranges from the aircraft. Once you reach Lukla you will take a short break and then trek to Phakding which takes about 3 hours. Overnight at tea house lodge

    Day 04: Phakding to Namche (3440m):

    Today is going to be an exciting day of our trip as we will trek along the bank of Dudh Koshi river. We will trek to the gateway of Everest, Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar also known as the “Thamel of Everest” is a luxurious valley in the Khumbu region which has a numerous number of hotels, restaurants, lodges, spas, Atm’s and other many luxurious things. We will then trek to Manjo and then check for a permit and stay overnight at a tea house lodge.

    Day 05: Namche Bazaar (3450m):

    Today is our acclimatization day and we will do the sightseeing of different nearby authentic villages of Thame and Khumjung. Exploring these villages and trails will give you an opportunity to view some of the beautiful snowcapped Himalayan peaks including Mt. Thamaserku (6608 m), Ama-Dablam (6856 m), Mt. Lhotse (8510m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Nuptse (7861m), Island Peak (6189m), Tobuche (6367m) and many other beautiful mountain ranges. Overnight at a tea house lodge.

    Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3870m):

    We will trek about 5hrs to reach Thengboche from Namche Bazar. We will start our trek early in the morning and trek along with the magnificent views of mountain ranges including Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Amadablam and the highest mountain of the world, Mt. Everest. We will take a steep descent towards a bridge over Dudhkoshi river and cross the dense rhododendron forests to reach Thengboche. You can do the sightseeing the largest monastery of Khumbu region, Thyangboche monastery which is one of the ancient monasteries of Khumbu region and offers the superb views of Everest. Overnight at Thengboche

    Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4389m):

    We will be walking about 5hrs to reach Dingboche leaving Tengboche behind. This is first going to be an easy descent through the dense forests and then we will cross a suspension bridge over the Imja Kola. We will then start the bit difficult and steady climb to Pheriche and then to Pangboche. You will be strolling through the ancient houses of Sherpa people and you will also get an awesome opportunity to explore the ancient monasteries and stupas of this place. Trekking ahead via ancient Sherpa settlements will take us to Dingboche where we will acclimatize to adapt on the higher altitudes. Overnight at a tea house

    Day 08: Dingboche Acclimatization day:

    We will be taking rest to acclimatize on the higher altitudes on today’s day. You will get an option to hike to Nangkartshang Ri which stands at a height of 5070m above the sea level. This place offers the visitors with the superb views of magnificent Himalayan ranges including Lhotse, Island Peak, Kali Himal, Amadablam and a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of Everest. Overnight at a tea house.

    Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m):

    We will be walking about 5hrs to reach Lobuche. The trail is a bit challenging as we will be trekking in higher altitudes. Trekking for 3hrs will take us to the Memorial Camp after passing the steep trails. We will continue our trail and reach Lobuche. One can get an opportunity to visit the Italian Base Camp and view the magnificent Himalayan ranges including Pumori and Nuptse. You will also see the famous Khumbu glacier. Overnight at a Tea house.

    Day 10: Lobuche to EBC- Ghorakshep (5190m):

    After the breakfast we will walk down to Lobuche and join the famous Everest Base Camp route. We will then walk in the Khumbu valley alongside of Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep. Overnight at Tea house / Lodge

    Day 11: Gharak Shep to Kalaptthar (5550m) – Dzonglha (4830m):

    Wake up early in the morning and walk up to Kalapatthar for sunrise view of Everest, Nupse, Lohtse, Pumori just above and Khumbutse and beautiful views of Khumbu glacier and back down to lodge and walk down to Dzonglha via Lobuche. Overnight at tea house lodge.

    Day 12: Dzonglha to Chola Pass –  Nirekha Base Camp (5280m):

    T Today’s trek is going to be a bit long and tiring trek as we will be trekking about 8 hours to reach Zonglha. We will start with packed lunch and start our trek to reach the beautiful Chola Pass. We will cross this famous pass which is situated at a height of 5368m. Pass is always with ice, sometimes with deep snow and then walk down to Nirekha Base Camp. Overnight at Tented Camp.

    Day 13: Acclimatization at Nirekha Base Camp (5280m)

    We will take one full day rest at the base camp. During the day our guide will train all climbers about climbing techniques , Making knots and using other safety matter with our climbing guides. Guide will check if it is required to fix the ropes depends on ice and snow condition. Overnight at Tented camp.

    Day 14: Nirekha Base Camp to High Camp (5,620m):

    From the Base camp we climb towards high camp. The path is steeper and rocky. We enjoy great views of Cho-Oyu and other surrounded mountains. In the afternoon our senior climbing guide will provide training on peak climbing techniques and proper way to use the climbing gears. Overnight at tented camp.

    Day 15: Hight camp to Nirekha Peak summit (6169m) – Base Camp (5280m)

    Today is the big day you are looking for in the whole trip. We wake up around 1 am and take hot tea/coffee and breakfast. After short easy climb through south side in snow and ice it gets steeper. Our guide will place ice bar and ice screw where it is required. Belaying is necessary some places depending on the ice and snow situation. It offers one of the most beautiful views from the summit. After we take good photos and enjoy the beauty we carefully descend to the Base camp. Overnight night at tented camp.

    Day 16: Nirekha Base Camp – Machhermo (4410m):

    Walking about 6 hours. Wake up early morning then walk down to Thangnak. After the tea break at Thangnak, we will cross over the glacier and continue to Machhermo. Overnight at Tea house / lodge.

    Day 17: Machhermo to Namche Bazaar (3440m):

    Walking about 6 hours. After breakfast we descend down to the Phortse Thengnak through the beautiful Gokyo Valley. Then we have to climb about 1 hour to the Mong-La, where we can see spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and other mountains and walk easily to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at tea house lodge

    Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800 m):

    We will trek back to Lukla today. We will finish our great journey at about 6 hours from the highest mountain. Overnight at tea house lodge

    Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu (1400m)

    Early morning fly back to Kathmandu. You will have a free day for shopping and you can also explore the streets of Kathmandu.

    Day 20: Departure:

    Transfer to airport for final departure to onward destination.
