    Mt. Kailash tour via Kerung takes the trekkers to the isolated land of Tibet an gives the visitors an awesome opportunity to view the famous Mt. Kailash and holy Mansarovar lake. This tour gives you an opportunity to view the spectacular Himalayan ranges along with the opportunity to explore the untouched and ancient villages of Tibet. According to myths and legends, one who does the circuit of Mt. Kailash is said to gain Nirvana (freedom) and all of his transgressions are left. Circumventing Mt. Kailash 108 times implies that one is specifically getting Nirvana (Freedom). As per the portrayal of Ramayana, one who scrubs down in Mansarovar Lake achieves Bramalok (paradise); while the one drinking the water from Kailash knows the universe of Shivalok (Shivas dwelling place).

     

    Mt. Kailash Tour via Kerung will also give you an opportunity to do the sightseeing of some of the highest mountains of Nepal and Tibet including Everest (Highest mountain of the world), Annapurna ranges, Shisgampa, Thamaserku and a closer and majestic view of Mt. Kailash. It is believed that Mt. Kailash was the adobe of Lord Shiva and he used to perform his holy dance, rituals and celebrations along with smoking the holy herb “marijuana” in this mountain.

     

    This holy journey starts with the sightseeing of the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. We will then drive to Syabrubensi and then after the permit we will enter to Tibet and reach Kerung. Passing many ancient villages and landscapes, we will reach to Mansarover lake and then do the sightseeing of Mt. Kailash. We will then return via Kerung and end our beautiful journey in Kathmandu.

    Itinerary Details

    Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m):

    Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative in the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

    Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur:

    After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body form head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabrubensi:

    Today’s day starts with an early morning breakfast and then we will take a drive to Syabrubensi. Driving along the view of Annapurna and Langtang ranges will take us to Syabrubensi. Overnight at Syabrubensi.

    Day 04: Syabrubensi to Kerung:

    We will begin our today’s trek with an early morning drive to Kerung. Driving for an hour will take us to Rasuwagadi. After the visa preparation and formalities, we will enter Kerung and then rest at our hotel. Overnight at Kerung.

    Day 05: Acclimatization day at Kerung:

    Today will be the rest day of our trip as we will do the sightseeing of Kerung. We will stroll to the nearby villages and streets of Kerung and explore Kerung. Overnight at Kerung.

    Day 06: Kerung to Saga:

    After our breakfast, we will start our drive to Saga. Passing the ancient routes along with the views of Himalayan backdrops will take us to Saga. Overnight at Saga.

    Day 07: Saga to Mansarovar lake:

    Today will be the big day of our tour as we will visit the famous Mansarovar lake and view the scene of Mt. Kailash. You will do your holy rituals and celebrations in the lake with a holy bath. Overnight at Mansarovar lake in a tented camp.

    Day 08: Mansarover to Darchen:

    During the journey of Mansarovar Yatra, today, we will arrive at the important point where you take a holy bath in the You can conduct hawan, pooja and other rituals as per your tradition. The surroundings are filled with peacefulness and overwhelming Himalayan beauty. After the spiritual activities, we will drive to Darchen, which is around two and a half hours away. On arriving in Darchen we will check into a guesthouse for an overnight stay.

    Day 09: Darchen – Diraphuk (4890 m – 12 km) –

    Today will be the first day we will have an early morning breakfast and start the yatra as early as possible. Today, we will drive up to Yumdwari, the base from your start walking, continuously for around 6 – 7 hours. If you do not wish to cover the journey on-foot or if your physical condition does not allow, you can also hire a horse (at an extra cost). Yak will be carrying the kitchen utensils and other equipment. As you reach Diraphuk, you have an overnight stay at mud house or tent on the basis of availability.

    Day 10: Diraphuk – Zhulthulphuk (4790 m – 22 km)-

    The Kailash mansarovar yatra trek today is a difficult one wherewe will walk through Dolma-La Pass (5800m). The trek is said to be difficult as the pass is known to have unpredictable weather as any time there can be a snowstorm. The trek should start as early as possible in the morning. On the way, halt at Gaurikund for darshan. Continue the trek till you arrive at Zhulthulphuk. This sit has tents and mud houses for overnight stay.

    Day 11: Zhulthulphuk – Saga – Dongba –

    Later our tour starts back for Kathmandu following the same route and same system applies for all subjects of our accommodation and meal Overnight stay at guesthouse.

    Day 12: Saga – Dongba – Kerung –

    Today will be our last day at Tibet as we will drive back to Kerung.

    Day 13: Kerung – Kathmandu –

    After custom formalities we will be picked up by Nepal side and continue drive to Kathmandu and check in at Hotel.

    Day 14: Kathmandu-

    Early morning optional Himalayan mountain flight tour. After breakfast start to Kathmandu sightseeing including Pashupatinath and Budha Nikanth Darshan, back to hotel and rest of the day is free for shopping and packing, overnight stay in Kathmandu.

    Day 15: Departure-

    In the morning, check- out from the hotel. Get transferred to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
